Description
A delightful Vanilla Caramel Latte recipe combining rich espresso with creamy steamed milk and sweet vanilla and caramel syrups, topped optionally with whipped cream and caramel drizzle for a decadent coffeehouse experience at home.
Ingredients
Scale
Espresso and Coffee
- 2 shots of espresso (or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee)
Milk and Syrups
- 1 cup milk (or any milk alternative)
- 2 tbsp vanilla syrup
- 2 tbsp caramel syrup
Toppings (Optional)
- Whipped cream
- Extra caramel drizzle
Instructions
- Brew the Espresso. Brew two shots of espresso using your espresso machine, or alternatively, prepare 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee if you don’t have one.
- Steam the Milk. Using a small saucepan or a milk frother, steam the milk until it is hot and frothy. If you don’t have a frother, heat the milk in the microwave until warm, then whisk vigorously to create froth.
- Mix the Flavors. In a large mug, combine the vanilla syrup and caramel syrup. Pour the freshly brewed hot espresso into the mug and stir well to blend all the flavors evenly.
- Add the Milk. Gently pour the steamed milk over the espresso and syrup mixture, stirring carefully to combine without losing the froth.
- Top and Serve. Optionally, top your latte with a generous amount of whipped cream and drizzle extra caramel syrup on top for additional flavor and presentation. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Vanilla Caramel Latte.
Notes
- You can substitute dairy milk with almond, oat, soy, or any other milk alternative.
- Adjust the amount of vanilla and caramel syrup to your taste preference for sweetness.
- If you don’t have an espresso machine, strong brewed coffee is a fine substitute.
- Whipped cream and extra caramel drizzle are optional but add extra indulgence.
- Serve immediately for the best flavor and frothiness.
