Description

Turkey and Cheese Pinwheels are easy-to-make, delicious snack or lunch bites featuring soft flour tortillas filled with deli turkey, cheese, and fresh greens, spread with creamy cheese and a hint of Dijon mustard, perfect for lunchboxes, parties, or quick meals.

Ingredients

Scale

Pinwheel Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • 8 slices deli turkey breast
  • 4 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 4 tablespoons cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1/4 cup baby spinach or lettuce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tortilla: Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese evenly over the entire tortilla. If using, spread a light layer of Dijon mustard on top of the cream cheese.
  2. Add Fillings: Layer 2 slices of turkey, 1 slice of cheese, and a small handful of spinach or lettuce evenly over the tortilla, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  3. Roll the Tortilla: Tightly roll up the tortilla from one edge to the other to form a log. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas.
  4. Chill the Rolls: Wrap each roll in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes to help set the pinwheels for easier slicing.
  5. Slice and Serve: Unwrap and slice each roll into 1-inch pinwheels. Serve them chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Perfect for lunchboxes, party platters, or easy meal prep.
  • Swap in hummus, mayo, or ranch dressing for the cream cheese if you prefer.
  • Add extras like sliced tomato, avocado, or cucumber for added flavor and nutrition.
  • Use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier variation.
  • Store leftover pinwheels covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
