Description

These Tiramisu Truffles are a bite-sized take on the classic Italian dessert, combining the flavors of mascarpone, espresso, and cocoa in a decadent treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Mascarpone Mixture:

  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 cup crushed ladyfinger cookies or vanilla wafers
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons strong brewed espresso or coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cocoa powder

Coating and Garnish:

  • 1/2 cup melted dark or semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Optional espresso powder or chocolate shavings for topping

Instructions

  1. Mix Mascarpone Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine mascarpone, crushed cookies, powdered sugar, espresso, vanilla, and cocoa powder until smooth. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Form Truffles: Scoop mixture into 1-inch balls, roll them smooth, and freeze for 15–20 minutes.
  3. Coat Truffles: Melt chocolate, dip truffles, allow excess to drip off, then dust with cocoa powder or shavings. Chill until set.

Notes

  • Store truffles in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
  • For a no-coating version, roll truffles in cocoa powder or crushed cookies.
