Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners.
- Prepare the Cupcake Batter: Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream the butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla, then mix in dry ingredients and milk. Divide batter into liners and bake.
- Soak the Cupcakes: Once cooled, poke holes in cupcakes and spoon coffee soak over each.
- Make the Mascarpone Frosting: Beat mascarpone, cream, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. Frost cupcakes.
- Decorate: Dust with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings if desired. Chill before serving.

- For a non-alcoholic version, skip the coffee liqueur.
