Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners.
  2. Prepare the Cupcake Batter: Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream the butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla, then mix in dry ingredients and milk. Divide batter into liners and bake.
  3. Soak the Cupcakes: Once cooled, poke holes in cupcakes and spoon coffee soak over each.
  4. Make the Mascarpone Frosting: Beat mascarpone, cream, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. Frost cupcakes.

  • For a non-alcoholic version, skip the coffee liqueur.
