  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the beef: In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess fat and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the sauce: Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream. Mix in 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  4. Assemble: Spread the beef mixture in the baking dish. Top with frozen tater tots in a single layer.
  5. Bake: Bake for 35–40 minutes until tater tots are crispy. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top and bake for another 5–7 minutes.
