Description

This refreshing and vibrant Strawberry Soda recipe is perfect for quenching your thirst on a hot day. Made with fresh strawberries, sugar, and a splash of lemon juice, this homemade soda is fizzy, fruity, and delightful.

Ingredients

Scale

Strawberry Syrup:

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup water

Additional:

  • Ice cubes
  • 2 cups club soda or sparkling water
  • Fresh mint and extra strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberry Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water. Simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until strawberries soften and sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  2. Strain the Syrup: Use a fine mesh strainer to strain the mixture into a bowl, pressing to extract syrup. Discard solids and chill syrup.
  3. Serve: Fill a glass with ice, pour 2–3 tablespoons of syrup, and top with club soda. Stir gently and garnish with mint or strawberries.

Notes

  • Adjust syrup to taste
  • Syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 week
  • Try adding lime juice or using sparkling lemonade for variety
