Pasta:
- 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine pasta
Seafood:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1/2 pound lump crab meat (picked over for shells)
Sauce:
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 small shallot (finely chopped)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- juice of 1/2 lemon
Garnish:
- chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: In salted water, cook pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Cook the seafood: In a skillet, cook shrimp until pink, then set aside. Sauté shallot and garlic, add cream, Parmesan, Cajun seasoning, paprika, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.
- Combine: Fold in crab, shrimp, lemon juice, and cooked pasta. Heat through.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and enjoy!
