Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Combine dry ingredients: In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and salt. Add cheddar cheese and coat evenly.
  3. Prepare wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together milk and mayonnaise until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry mixtures: Pour wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Prepare butter glaze: Mix melted butter and parsley in a small bowl.
  7. Final touch: Brush the butter-parsley mixture over the loaf as soon as it comes out of the oven.
  8. Serve: Let the loaf cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
