Filling Ingredients
- 1½ cups chopped pecans
- ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
- ¾ cup corn syrup
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup Bisquick baking mix
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Lightly spray a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Arrange Pecans: Evenly sprinkle the chopped pecans in the bottom of the prepared pie plate, creating a nutty base layer for your pie.
- Blend Filling: In a blender, combine the heavy cream, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla, eggs, brown sugar, and Bisquick baking mix. Pulse the mixture for 15 to 30 seconds until smooth and fully blended.
- Pour Filling: Pour the blended filling mixture evenly over the layer of pecans in the pie plate.
- Bake: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes. The pie is done when the center is set and no longer jiggles.
- Cool and Store: Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely at room temperature. Once cooled, store the pie in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
- Ensure the pie is fully cooled before slicing to allow the filling to set properly.
- Use a deep-dish pie plate for best results to accommodate the filling volume.
- For a gluten-free version, substitute Bisquick with a gluten-free baking mix.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
- The pie can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
