Description

This classic Pecan Pie recipe offers a rich, nutty dessert perfect for any occasion. Featuring a crunchy layer of chopped pecans topped with a smooth, sweet filling made with cream, corn syrup, and brown sugar, this pie is baked to golden perfection in a deep-dish crust. Easy to prepare and delightfully satisfying, it’s an ideal treat for holidays or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling Ingredients

  • 1½ cups chopped pecans
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¾ cup corn syrup
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup Bisquick baking mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Lightly spray a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Arrange Pecans: Evenly sprinkle the chopped pecans in the bottom of the prepared pie plate, creating a nutty base layer for your pie.
  3. Blend Filling: In a blender, combine the heavy cream, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla, eggs, brown sugar, and Bisquick baking mix. Pulse the mixture for 15 to 30 seconds until smooth and fully blended.
  4. Pour Filling: Pour the blended filling mixture evenly over the layer of pecans in the pie plate.
  5. Bake: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes. The pie is done when the center is set and no longer jiggles.
  6. Cool and Store: Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely at room temperature. Once cooled, store the pie in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Ensure the pie is fully cooled before slicing to allow the filling to set properly.
  • Use a deep-dish pie plate for best results to accommodate the filling volume.
  • For a gluten-free version, substitute Bisquick with a gluten-free baking mix.
  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
  • The pie can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
