Ingredients
Scale
Pie Crust:
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Filling:
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan and crimp the edges as desired.
- Mix the filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined. Stir in the pecan halves.
- Fill the crust: Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading the pecans out evenly.
- Bake: Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the center is set and only slightly jiggles when shaken gently. Cover the edges with foil if they brown too quickly.
- Cool and serve: Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
- For extra crunch and flavor, lightly toast the pecans before mixing them into the filling.
- This pie can be made a day in advance and stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
