Description

This Peanut Butter Brownie Pizza is a deliciously indulgent dessert that combines the rich, fudgy texture of a classic brownie with a creamy peanut butter topping and a sprinkle of chocolate and nuts. Perfect for parties or a fun family treat, it’s easy to make and sure to satisfy your sweet tooth with its decadent flavors and gooey texture.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Brownie Base:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

For the Peanut Butter Topping:

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk (to thin if needed)

For Garnish:

  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1/4 cup Reese’s Pieces or mini peanut butter cups (optional)
  • Melted chocolate for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until fully combined. Then add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder gently until just combined. Take care not to overmix to keep the brownies tender.
  4. Bake the Brownie Base: Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared pizza pan. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs. Once done, allow it to cool completely to ensure the topping spreads smoothly.
  5. Prepare Peanut Butter Topping: In a separate bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, softened butter, and powdered sugar. Mix until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the spread is too thick, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk little by little to reach a spreadable consistency.
  6. Spread Topping: Evenly spread the peanut butter mixture over the cooled brownie crust, creating a smooth layer.
  7. Add Garnishes: Sprinkle mini chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, and Reese’s Pieces or mini peanut butter cups on top. For extra flair, drizzle melted chocolate over the top if desired.
  8. Chill and Serve: Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes to let the peanut butter topping set. Slice into 12 wedges and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before serving to enhance the sweet and salty combination.
  • This dessert can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator to save time.
  • Ensure the brownie base is completely cooled before adding the peanut butter topping to prevent melting and mixing of layers.
