Description

This No Bake Strawberry Jello Pie is a quick and easy dessert that combines the sweet, fruity flavor of strawberry Jell-O with a creamy Cool Whip filling, all set in a crisp graham cracker crust. Perfect for warm weather or when you want a fuss-free treat, it requires minimal ingredients and preparation time, with a delightful texture and vibrant pink color. Fresh strawberries can be added as a garnish to enhance the presentation and taste.

Ingredients

Scale

Gelatin Mixture

  • 3 oz box strawberry Jell-O gelatin
  • ⅔ cup boiling water
  • 1 cup ice cold water

Filling

  • 8 oz Cool Whip (thawed)

Crust and Garnish

  • 1 graham cracker pie crust
  • Fresh strawberries (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve gelatin: Add the strawberry Jell-O gelatin powder to a large mixing bowl, then pour in ⅔ cup boiling water. Whisk thoroughly for about 2 minutes until all the gelatin is fully dissolved.
  2. Add cold water: Pour in 1 cup of ice cold water to the dissolved gelatin mixture and whisk until the liquid becomes frothy, helping to incorporate air for a lighter texture.
  3. Mix in Cool Whip: Gradually fold in 8 oz of thawed Cool Whip into the gelatin mixture, stirring until the mixture is completely blended and achieves a light pink color.
  4. Chill the mixture: Place the mixture into the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes or until it thickens enough to be spooned easily into the pie crust.
  5. Fill the crust: Spoon the thickened Jello mixture evenly into the graham cracker pie crust and smooth the surface using a spatula for a neat finish.
  6. Refrigerate to set: Refrigerate the assembled pie for 4 hours or overnight to allow it to fully set before serving. Optionally, garnish with fresh strawberries just before serving for an added fresh touch.

Notes

  • Ensure the Cool Whip is properly thawed before mixing for smooth blending.
  • You can substitute fresh or frozen strawberries finely chopped into the filling if desired.
  • For a firmer set, refrigerate the pie overnight.
  • Use a chilled mixing bowl for better texture when folding in the Cool Whip.
  • To make it vegan, use a plant-based whipped topping and vegan gelatin alternatives.
