  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons instant espresso powder

Cream Cheese Swirl:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Brownie Batter: Whisk melted butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then fold into wet mixture.
  3. Layer and Swirl: Spread two-thirds of the brownie batter in the pan. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla. Drop cream cheese mixture over the batter, then dollop the remaining batter on top. Swirl with a knife.
  4. Bake: Bake for 35–40 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  5. Cool and Serve: Cool completely before cutting into squares.

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, increase espresso powder to 1 tablespoon.
