Description

This Lemon Chicken recipe is a delightful blend of tender chicken breasts in a tangy lemon sauce, perfect for a quick and flavorful dinner.

Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Coating:

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Others:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts: To an even thickness.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper. Lightly dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture.

  3. Cook the chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes on each side or until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and add garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in chicken broth, lemon juice, lemon zest, and honey if using. Bring to a simmer and let the sauce reduce for about 5 minutes. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.

  • You can substitute boneless chicken thighs for a juicier texture.
