Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons capers (rinsed and drained)
- ½ cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the butter and olive oil. Melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in the capers. Cook for another 30 seconds.
- Pour in the broth and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3–4 minutes.
- Add lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Remove from heat and add parsley. Serve warm over your choice of protein or vegetables.
