Description

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons capers (rinsed and drained)
  • ½ cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the butter and olive oil. Melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Stir in the capers. Cook for another 30 seconds.
  3. Pour in the broth and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3–4 minutes.
  4. Add lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. Remove from heat and add parsley. Serve warm over your choice of protein or vegetables.
