Description

These Grilled Cheese Skewers are a fun twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich. Perfect for parties or as a tasty appetizer, these skewers are easy to make and even easier to enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale

Bread:

  • 8 slices of thick white or sourdough bread

Cheese:

  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes or slices

Other:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • olive oil or non-stick spray for grilling
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Grill: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Prepare Bread and Cheese: Butter one side of each bread slice. Cut the bread to match the size of cheese cubes.
  3. Assemble Skewers: Thread skewers with bread (butter side out) and cheese, pressing pieces together.
  4. Grill: Grease grill, place skewers on it, and grill for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted.
  5. Serve: Serve warm with soup or dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Add cooked bacon or tomato slices for extra flavor.
  • Try mozzarella or pepper jack cheese for variety.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
