Bread:
- 8 slices of thick white or sourdough bread
Cheese:
- 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes or slices
Other:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- olive oil or non-stick spray for grilling
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- Preheat the Grill: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Prepare Bread and Cheese: Butter one side of each bread slice. Cut the bread to match the size of cheese cubes.
- Assemble Skewers: Thread skewers with bread (butter side out) and cheese, pressing pieces together.
- Grill: Grease grill, place skewers on it, and grill for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted.
- Serve: Serve warm with soup or dipping sauces.
