Instructions

  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Cook the Pasta: Meanwhile, cook the fettuccine or linguine in salted boiling water following the package instructions until al dente. Before draining, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water for the sauce.
  5. Make the Creamy Sauce: Pour the heavy cream into the skillet with the garlic butter and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, mixing until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. Add the reserved pasta water gradually until you reach your desired sauce consistency.
