Garlic Bread Spread:
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced or finely grated)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well blended and smooth.
- If using Parmesan cheese, stir it in last.
- Spread the mixture generously on sliced French bread or baguette halves.
- For toasted garlic bread, place the prepared bread under the broiler for 2–4 minutes until golden and bubbly, or bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes.
- Serve warm.

- Store leftover spread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
- You can also add a bit of olive oil for a silkier texture or use roasted garlic for a sweeter flavor.
