Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar, then add eggs one at a time. Mix in the vanilla extract, orange extract, and orange zest.
- Combine Batter: Add dry ingredients in batches, alternating with milk. Stir in orange food coloring if desired.
- Bake: Divide batter into cupcake liners and bake for 18–20 minutes. Cool and frost with creamsicle frosting.
