Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
For the Sauce:
- 1 (0.7-ounce) packet Italian dressing mix
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
For Serving:
- 1 pound angel hair pasta, cooked according to package directions
- Optional chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Place chicken breasts in the bottom of a greased slow cooker.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or until chicken is tender and cooked through.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in Italian dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth; whisk until smooth. Add cream cheese and Parmesan, stirring until melted and fully incorporated. Pour sauce over chicken in slow cooker.
Shred chicken in the sauce and serve over cooked angel hair pasta. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, sauté the chicken briefly before adding to the slow cooker.
- You can substitute cream of mushroom soup for cream of chicken for a different twist.
- Leftovers reheat well with a splash of milk to loosen the sauce.
