For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
For the Garlic Sauce:
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch to ensure even cooking. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Set Up Dredging Station: Arrange three shallow bowls: one with flour, the second with beaten eggs, and the third with a mixture of Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, and Italian seasoning. Coat each chicken breast by dredging first in flour, then dipping into the eggs, and finally pressing into the Parmesan-panko mixture to thoroughly cover the surface.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the coated chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side until the exterior is golden brown and the chicken is cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- Make the Garlic Sauce: Wipe out the skillet and melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the tablespoon of flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to form a roux. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese, cooking 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine and Serve: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the garlic sauce over them. Let simmer for 2 minutes to warm through and meld flavors together. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

- This dish pairs wonderfully with mashed potatoes, pasta, or sautéed greens for a complete meal.
- You can prepare the garlic sauce ahead of time and gently reheat it before serving.
