For the Steak:
- 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Sauce:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Pasta:
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
For Garnish:
- Fresh parsley
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak: Rub steak with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sear in a skillet until medium-rare, then slice thinly.
- Cook the Pasta: Boil fettuccine until al dente, then drain.
- Make the Sauce: Melt butter, sauté garlic, add cream, simmer, and whisk in Parmesan, Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Combine: Toss pasta in the sauce until coated. Serve topped with steak slices and parsley.
Notes
- For a milder dish, reduce Cajun seasoning or use half cream and half milk.
- Chicken or shrimp can be substituted for steak.
