Description

This vibrant Cilantro Lime Jalapeño Salsa is a fresh and zesty condiment perfect for adding a spicy kick to your meals. Made with fresh cilantro, jalapeños, garlic, lime juice, olive oil, and a hint of cumin, this salsa blends smooth for easy dipping or drizzling. It’s an ideal accompaniment for tacos, grilled meats, seafood, or roasted vegetables, and can be whipped up in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves (packed)
  • 12 jalapeños, stemmed and seeded (keep seeds for extra heat)
  • 1 small garlic clove, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons water (adjust for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients. Gather fresh cilantro leaves, stem and seed the jalapeños if you prefer less heat, peel the garlic clove, and measure out lime juice, olive oil, cumin, salt, and water.
  2. Blend the salsa. In a food processor or blender, combine cilantro, jalapeños, garlic, lime juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water. Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed to ensure even blending.
  3. Adjust consistency and flavor. If the salsa is too thick, add an extra tablespoon of water or lime juice gradually until desired consistency is reached. Taste and adjust seasoning or spice level if necessary.
  4. Serve or store. Transfer the salsa to a serving bowl or an airtight container. Serve immediately to enjoy the freshest flavors or refrigerate for up to 4 days.

Notes

  • For deeper flavor, roast jalapeños and garlic before blending.
  • This salsa works wonderfully as a dip, a taco topping, or drizzled over grilled meats, seafood, and roasted vegetables.
  • Adjust jalapeño seeds according to your preferred spice heat.
