Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line and grease a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan.
- Prepare the sponge cake: Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla until tripled in volume. Sift dry ingredients, fold into the egg mixture, and bake for 10–12 minutes.
- Roll the cake: Invert the cake onto a towel, roll, and cool.
- Make the filling: Whip cream, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Spread over the cake and roll up without the towel.
- Optional ganache: Heat cream, pour over chocolate, stir until smooth. Pour over the cake and chill until set.
- Serve: Slice and serve chilled or at room temperature.
