Description

This Chili Crunch Garlic Bread is a spicy, cheesy twist on the classic garlic bread. Featuring a flavorful blend of chili crunch, garlic butter, and a rich Italian cheese blend, this quick and easy recipe is perfect as an appetizer or side dish. The bread is baked until golden and bubbly, then topped with fresh herbs for a bright finish.

Ingredients

Scale

Chili Crunch Garlic Butter

  • 4 Tbsp Butter (1/2 stick, at room temperature)
  • 46 Cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 Tbsp Chili Crunch
  • 2 Tsp Garlic Powder

Garlic Bread

  • 1 Baguette
  • 34 Cups Italian Cheese Blend (parmesan, mozzarella, asiago, fontina, etc.)
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Parsley (chopped)
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Basil (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking the garlic bread.
  2. Prepare Garlic: Start by mincing your garlic cloves finely to release their flavor.
  3. Make Chili Crunch Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, add the room-temperature butter. If the butter isn’t soft enough, microwave briefly until mostly solid with a little melted. Add minced garlic, chili crunch, and garlic powder to the butter and stir well until evenly combined.
  4. Slice Baguette: Cut the baguette into quarters lengthwise, then split each quarter so that the interior is exposed, yielding 8 total pieces.
  5. Arrange Bread: Place the baguette slices on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  6. Apply Garlic Butter: Evenly spread the chili crunch garlic butter mixture over each piece of bread with a spoon, making sure every slice is coated well.
  7. Add Cheese: Generously top each slice with the Italian cheese blend. You can adjust the amount of cheese to your liking. Optionally, drizzle a little more chili crunch on top to enhance heat and flavor.
  8. Bake: Bake the garlic bread in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese melts and starts to brown. Check the bread frequently after 10 minutes to prevent burning.
  9. Garnish: Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Top each piece with chopped fresh parsley and basil for a fresh, herby finish.
  10. Serve: Serve the chili crunch garlic bread warm and enjoy its spicy, cheesy goodness as a perfect appetizer or side dish.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of chili crunch based on your preferred spice level.
  • Use a mix of Italian cheeses for a complex flavor; mozzarella melts well while parmesan and asiago add sharpness.
  • Check the bread often while baking to avoid burning the cheese or bread.
  • Butter should ideally be room temperature for easy mixing but not melted.
  • Fresh herbs add brightness but can be omitted if not available.
