Ingredients
Scale
Filling
- 2 cups cooked chopped chicken
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, divided
Dough
- 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls
Sauce
- 1 (15-oz) jar Alfredo sauce
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Make the Chicken Mixture and Assemble Rolls: In a bowl, combine the cooked chopped chicken, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, and 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Separate the refrigerated crescent rolls into 8 triangles. Spoon the chicken mixture onto the larger end of each crescent triangle, then carefully roll up each crescent roll.
- Arrange Rolls and Add Sauce: Place the rolled crescent rolls seam side down evenly in the prepared baking dish. Pour the jar of Alfredo sauce evenly over the rolls. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup mozzarella cheese on top for a cheesy finish.
- Bake Until Bubbly: Bake the dish in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and starts to turn golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Using pre-cooked chicken (such as rotisserie or leftover chicken) speeds up preparation time.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes into the chicken mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
- For a lower-fat version, use part-skim mozzarella and light cream cheese.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven or microwave.
- You can substitute homemade Alfredo sauce if desired for a fresher taste.
