  • 2 large eggs (beaten)

Cheese Topping:

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Breadcrumb Mixture:

  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs or crushed Ritz crackers
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare coating: In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, mix cheddar cheese with a tablespoon of the breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Coat chicken: Dip each chicken breast in beaten eggs, then coat evenly in breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly. Place in baking dish.
