Puff Pastry:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

Basil Pesto:

  • 1/4 cup prepared basil pesto

Fillings:

  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella (sliced into rounds)
  • 2 medium tomatoes (sliced into rounds)

Additional:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the pastry: Unfold the puff pastry and cut into 6 equal rectangles. Place on the prepared baking sheet and score a border 1/2 inch from the edges.
