Salad Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or bowtie work well)
- 2 cups Romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup croutons
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside to cool completely.
- Prepare the Salad: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, chopped Romaine lettuce, and Caesar dressing. Toss gently to ensure even coating of the dressing throughout the salad.
- Add the Toppings: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and croutons evenly over the salad. If desired, garnish with freshly chopped parsley and a light sprinkle of black pepper for extra flavor.
- Serve: Serve the salad immediately for a fresh taste or refrigerate for 1-2 hours to chill and allow flavors to meld. This salad is best enjoyed cold.
Notes
- For best taste, use freshly prepared Caesar dressing or a high-quality store-bought version.
- Feel free to add grilled chicken or shrimp to make this salad more filling.
- Rinse pasta under cold water thoroughly to prevent it from becoming mushy and to cool it down quickly.
- Store leftover salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
