Butter Toffee:

  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Garnish:

  • Flaky sea salt for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the pretzels evenly over the baking sheet.
  2. Prepare Toffee: In a medium saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup over medium heat. Boil without stirring for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla.
  3. Coat Pretzels: Pour the toffee over the pretzels, toss gently to coat, and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
