Pretzels:
- 8 cups mini pretzel twists
Butter Toffee:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Garnish:
- Flaky sea salt for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the pretzels evenly over the baking sheet.
- Prepare Toffee: In a medium saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup over medium heat. Boil without stirring for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla.
- Coat Pretzels: Pour the toffee over the pretzels, toss gently to coat, and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Cool and Serve: Cool the pretzels completely on the pan. Break apart if needed and sprinkle with sea salt.
