Ingredients
Scale
Crescent Roll Dough:
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count)
Breakfast Sausage Links:
- 8 fully cooked breakfast sausage links
Scrambled Eggs:
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Additional:
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Maple syrup for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the eggs: In a small bowl, whisk the eggs with milk, salt, and pepper. Scramble the eggs in butter until just set. Let cool slightly.
- Assemble the pigs in a blanket: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Place a spoonful of scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and a sausage link on each triangle. Roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end, encasing the filling inside. Place rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve: Serve warm with maple syrup on the side if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try using flavored sausage like maple or spicy.
- You can prepare the scrambled eggs ahead of time to save time in the morning.
