Description

These Blueberry Yogurt Swirl Dog Paw Treats are a delightful homemade frozen snack for your furry friend. Made with wholesome ingredients, these treats are easy to prepare and perfect for pampering your pet.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Blueberry Puree:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened, non-fat)
  • ½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, use only if approved by your vet)
  • Water as needed for blending

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Blueberry Puree: Place blueberries in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a small splash of water to help it blend.
  2. Mix the Yogurt: In a small bowl, stir together Greek yogurt and honey if using.
  3. Fill the Molds: Spoon a small amount of the blueberry puree into silicone dog paw molds. Then spoon the yogurt mixture on top, creating a swirl by gently mixing with a toothpick or skewer.
  4. Freeze the Treats: Tap the mold gently on the counter to eliminate air bubbles and level the mixture. Freeze for at least 3–4 hours or until completely solid.
  5. Store and Serve: Once frozen, pop the treats out of the mold and store them in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

  • Use plain yogurt with no artificial sweeteners or added sugar.
  • You can substitute strawberries or pumpkin puree for variety.
  • Always check with your vet before introducing new ingredients to your dog’s diet.
