- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup whole milk (warm)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 large egg
For the filling:
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese (softened)
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Dough: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Knead until smooth. Let rise.
- Filling: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour. Roll out dough, spread with butter, sprinkle filling, add blueberries, roll up, and slice. Place in baking dish.
- Bake: Preheat oven. Bake rolls until golden. Mix glaze ingredients. Drizzle over cooled rolls.
Notes
- If using frozen blueberries, do not thaw to avoid excess moisture.
- Best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated gently the next day.
- Add lemon zest to the glaze for a bright citrus note.
