- 1 1/2 cups whipped topping or whipped cream
For the blackberry topping:
- 1 (3-ounce) package blackberry or black raspberry gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 cups fresh blackberries, halved if large
Instructions
- For the crust: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Press into a baking dish and bake for 10 minutes. Cool.
- For the cream layer: Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over the cooled crust. Chill.
- For the blackberry topping: Dissolve gelatin in boiling water, add cold water. Fold in blackberries. Pour over cream cheese layer. Chill until set.
- Serve chilled.
Notes
- For extra flavor, mix a tablespoon of blackberry jam into the cream layer.
- You can use frozen blackberries; just thaw and drain them first.
