Description

Spaghetti:

  • 12 oz spaghetti

Meat Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara or pasta sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Cheese Mixture:

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti: Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare meat sauce: In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Add garlic, pasta sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Combine cheese mixture: In a bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream. Toss cooked spaghetti in the mixture.
  5. Layer: In a greased baking dish, layer spaghetti, meat sauce, and cheese. Repeat layers and top with Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake: Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Garnish with parsley and serve.
