Ingredients
Scale
Biscuit Cups
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 count)
- 1/2 pound deli roast beef (thinly sliced)
- 4 slices provolone cheese (halved)
- 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
Au Jus Dipping Sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Biscuit Cups: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin. Flatten each biscuit slightly and press into the muffin cups, shaping them into cup-like forms to hold the fillings.
- Fill with Beef and Cheese: Take a slice of roast beef, fold it, and place inside each biscuit cup. Add a half slice of provolone cheese on top of the beef within the biscuit cup.
- Apply Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley if using. Brush this flavorful mixture over the tops of each biscuit cup to enhance browning and taste.
- Bake the Biscuit Cups: Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 15–18 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese inside melts beautifully.
- Make the Au Jus Sauce: While the biscuits bake, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5–7 minutes to develop rich, savory flavors.
- Serve: Remove the biscuit cups from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Serve warm alongside the au jus dipping sauce for an authentic dipping experience.
Notes
- You can substitute crescent dough or homemade biscuit dough if preferred.
- For extra flavor, add caramelized onions or a dollop of horseradish sauce inside the biscuit cups before baking.
- The au jus can be made ahead and reheated gently before serving.
- Ensure the biscuits are fully baked to avoid any doughy texture inside the cups.
