Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1¼ cups oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Add-ins
- 3 cups chopped apples
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare pan: Preheat your oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour a Bundt cake pan thoroughly to prevent sticking, and set it aside.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth and fully blended.
- Combine mixtures and fold in add-ins: Pour the wet egg mixture into the bowl with dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped apples and pecans to evenly distribute them.
- Bake the cake: Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan, smoothing the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 70 to 80 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and serve: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then carefully invert it onto a cooling rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Make sure to grease and flour the Bundt pan well for easy release.
- You can substitute walnuts for pecans if preferred.
- Adjust the cinnamon to your taste for more or less spiciness.
- For a moister cake, consider adding a bit of applesauce or sour cream.
- Check the cake early after 70 minutes to avoid overbaking as ovens can vary.
