Description

This Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon and Broccoli Bowls recipe offers a quick, healthy, and flavorful meal. Tender salmon fillets brushed with tangy teriyaki sauce are air fried alongside crisp-tender broccoli florets, then served over fluffy jasmine or brown rice. Topped with sesame seeds and fresh green onions, it’s a balanced, Asian-inspired bowl that’s perfect for a nutritious weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon and Sauce

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each), skin removed if desired
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetables

  • 4 cups broccoli florets

Grains and Garnishes

  • 2 cups cooked jasmine or brown rice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for cooking salmon and broccoli evenly.
  2. Prepare broccoli: Toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper to season and lightly coat before air frying.
  3. Air fry broccoli: Place the broccoli in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes to start softening and crisping.
  4. Brush salmon with teriyaki: While the broccoli cooks, brush the salmon fillets on all sides with teriyaki sauce for rich flavor.
  5. Combine and continue cooking: After 5 minutes, push the broccoli to the sides of the basket and place salmon fillets in the center. Air fry for an additional 7–9 minutes, until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily, and broccoli is crisp-tender.
  6. Assemble bowls: Divide cooked rice evenly into four bowls. Top each with a cooked salmon fillet and roasted broccoli.
  7. Add garnishes and serve: Drizzle additional teriyaki sauce over each bowl, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve warm and enjoy your healthy, flavorful meal.

Notes

  • Use skin-on salmon if you prefer extra flavor and a crispier texture.
  • For added heat, drizzle sriracha or sprinkle red pepper flakes over your bowl.
  • You can swap broccoli with cauliflower or snap peas for variety in your veggies.
