Cookie Dough:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Egg and Vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture to form a dough.
- Stir in Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips. Chill the dough for 20–30 minutes for best results.
- Air Fry: Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Form dough balls, place in the air fryer, and cook for 6–8 minutes until golden.
- Cool and Enjoy: Let the cookies cool in the basket for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket—bake in batches for even cooking.
- The cookie dough can be frozen in portions and air fried straight from frozen, adding 1–2 minutes to the cook time.
