Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Air Fryer Cheesy Egg Bagels perfect for a quick and satisfying breakfast. Crisp bagels are filled with eggs and melted cheddar cheese, creating a flavorful and hearty meal ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Bagels

  • 2 plain or everything bagels, halved

Egg Mixture

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Garnish

  • Chopped chives or green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F to ensure even cooking.
  2. Prepare the Basket: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  3. Prepare Bagels: If using, spread a thin layer of cream cheese on each bagel half for extra flavor and moisture.
  4. Create Wells in Bagels: Place the bagel halves, cut side up, into the air fryer basket. Gently press down the centers of each bagel half to create a well that will hold the egg.
  5. Add Eggs and Seasoning: Carefully crack one egg into the center well of each bagel half. Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the eggs to taste.
  6. Add Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top of the eggs and bagels.
  7. Air Fry: Cook in the air fryer for 8–10 minutes, or until the egg whites are set and yolks reach your desired doneness.
  8. Serve and Garnish: Carefully remove the bagels from the air fryer. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use pre-toasted or day-old bagels to help hold the egg better and prevent sogginess.
  • Customize by adding crumbled bacon, sausage, or diced vegetables to the egg mixture for extra flavor.
  • For firmer yolks, extend air frying time by 1–2 minutes.
